Colombia's Northern Coast
Day 1
Cartagena, Colombia
We spent one week on the beautiful area of Colombia's northern coast. We arrived in Cartagena, the picturesque colonial city on the Caribbean Sea. We explored the fairy-tale Cartagena's Old Town, took a walk on the narrow winding streets of the city circled by walls. Nice colourful houses and beautiful squares.
Day 2

Today we took a proper tour of this beautiful city.
Palace of the Inquisition Cartagena Historical Museum, Colombia
We visited the Palace of Inquisition, one of the finest buildings in the city, which used to serve as the house of Inquisition. Now it is an open museum displaying instruments of torture used in the past by the inquisitors, but only.
Castillo de San Felipe de Barajas, Colombia
In our tour, we also visited Castillo de San Felipe de Barajas, which is the greatest fortress ever built by the Spaniards.
Church of Santo Domingo, Colombia
The beautiful Church of Santo Domingo is the oldest church in the city.
Walls of Cartagena, Colombia
We walked on Walls of Cartagena, one of the most important attractions of Cartagena and UNESCO World Heritage Site. You can admire from there panoramic views of the city.
Restaurante Bar La Vitrola, Colombia
We checked one of the most famous restaurants in the city, La Vitrola. It is actually in an building, a 400 year old colonial home.
La Latina Gastrobar, Colombia
And ended the day in one of the rooftop bars, enjoying a good mojito.
Day 3
Cartagena, Colombia
From beautiful and colourful Cartagena, we left for a greener experience.
Parque Nacional Natural Tayrona, Colombia
We left towards Parque Nacional Natural Tayrona which is situated at the foot of the Sierra Nevada mountains and on the shore of the Caribbean Sea.
Day 4
Parque Nacional Natural Tayrona, Colombia
Today we took a tour of Parque Nacional Natural Tayrona. We booked a guided tour to explore South America's lovely coastline from the rainforests of Tayrona to the spectacular beaches. The tour started with with a hike in the tropical hills near CaƱaveral, the base of the Sierra Nevada mountains and got us to the beautiful beaches of Arrecifes.
Cabo San Juan del Guia, Colombia
One of the nicest spots of the tour in Parque Nacional Natural Tayrona was Parque Nacional Natural Tayrona, superb bay surrounded by massive volcanic rocks.
Minca, Colombia
Spent the night in Minca
Day 5
Minca, Colombia
Minca is a wonderful mountain village located in the scenic Colombian hillside. Minca is known for its coffee farms. After we explored the village of Minca a bit, we took a guided tour of the area's organic coffee farms.
Pozo Azul, Colombia
In the afternoon, we went to Pozo Azul, a natural swimming pool hole for a refreshing time.

Day 6

Cartagena, Colombia
We transfered back to Cartagena. Had a relaxed afternoon in the city.
Day 7
Cartagena, Colombia
The last day was dedicated to Rosario Islands. We took a day trip to this enchantic spot in Colombia.
Tierra Bomba Island, Colombia
On the way to Rosario Islands, we saw Tierra Bomba Island and Boca Chica, an ancient fort that used to protect Cartagena.
Rosario Islands, Colombia
Rosario Islands is a beautiful archipelago located off the coast of Colombia. It is one of the 46 Natural National Parks of Colombia. Once there, we headed to Playa Azul, a gorgeous white sand beach on the turquoise Caribbean Sea.
