Arrived in Sofia. We got accommodation with a view over the beautiful historical center, which was very nice as we sat on the balcony gazing at the city every morning and evening.

Visited the city with its old buildings and churces. It feels very livable.

Rented a car and went in the mountains for a bit of fresh air! Spend the night there!

Took the gondola. It goes up at around 2500 altitude! It's the point of departure to the talles mountain in entire Balkan Peninsula, with 2925 m altitude. The hike takes a whole day (for the experienced ones).

From there we headed to our next destination.

Got here in the afternoon, we took a walk on the main street of the city.

Visited the old part of the town, situated on three hills and Fortress Tsarevets. Veliko is one of the most beautiful mediaval towns in the Balkans.

Visit the small city and the famous nearby caves and canyon!

Drove to Pleven, spend the night there!

And back to Sofia.
