Adventurous Trip from Ljubljana

The nice thing about Ljubljana, beside the city itself, is that there are are plenty of places you can go not far away from the city if you want to escape the urban landscape for a day or less.

We took the car and headed to this cave that we have heard about, Postojna Cave. It's less than an hour away from the city and and it's actually a popular weekend attraction. The vast caves with halls and passageways are considered among the most captivating and impressive caves in the entire world. And there are also concerts that are held there.

From the Postojna Cave we drove further, to Predjama Castle. Located in the same natural park as the cave, the castle looks like a fairy tale place. It's situated on top of a cliff and it's a cave castle built in 13th century. You can visit the castle, the dungeons and the secret tunnel.

After spending enough time on both locations, we got back at the safety of the capital streets.
