Krakow in One Day
Day 1
Kraków, Poland
It's doable to see the city of Krakow on one day as the city is quite compact and it's easy to walk from one point to another.
Cafe Camelot, Poland
I started the day with, of course, a breakfast in the city. Cafe Camelot is a one of the finest. It is actually a former brothel.
Rynek Główny, Poland
Then I moved to the lovely Kraków’s Main Market Square, with its highlight, St. Mary’s Basilica, the beautiful gothic church. Inside the church, you can admire wonderful stained glass windows and wall paintings. It is possible to climb the tower for panoramic views over the city.
Cloth Hall Restaurant, Poland
Also in main square, there's Cloth Hall, a market runnig since 13th century. If you're into souvenirs, this market is the perfect place to choose something nice for home.
Kazimierz, Poland
Kazimierz is the historic Jewish quarter of Krakow, now full of lovely shops, nice cafes, vintage clothing stores, cool galleries and bars. It's a fascinating neighbourhoods with synagogues, streets art and museums.
Zakrzówek, Poland
I even had time for a walk on a very beautiful park of Zakrzówek, a short distance away from the city center. It's a big, rather wild park with limestone rocks and a big lake in the middle.
