Arrived in Tehran, Iran's capital. It's huge and crowded, a bit overwhelming. Only made a few steps in the evening near where we stayed.
Day 2

Tajrish, Iran
First thing in the morning, we went to Tajrish, the buzzy center of northern Tehran located at the foothills of the Alborz Mountains.
Old Tajrish Bazaar, Iran
We checked Tajrish Traditional Bazaar, which is oldest bazaar in the north of Tehran. It's a colorful bazaar from where you could not leave empy handed.
Vali Asr Street, Iran
From the bazzar, we walked on Vali Asr Street, Tehran’s longest and most famous street in Iran.

Checked Sadabad Palace Complex. Site of the former monarchy, the palace is now a museum.
Day 3
Tehran, Iran
Isfahan, Iran
From Tehran, we left to Isfahan, in central Iran, known for the Persian architecture. It's the ex capital of Iran.
Naqsh-e Jahan Square, Iran
We checked Naqsh-e Jahan Square, the central square and a UNESCO's World Heritage Site.
Si O Se Pol Bridge, Iran
Si O Se Pol Bridge is the largest of the eleven historical bridges built on the Zayanderud River, the largest river of the Iranian Plateau.
Jolfa Square, Iran
Walked to the beautiful Jolfa neighbourhood with its nice old shops, old houses, and antique monuments. It's the oldest and busiest neighborhood in Isfahan.

Mesr Desert, Iran
Today we booked a tour of Mesr Desert, a desert in Isfahan province. It's one of tourist attractions in Iran and actually a highlight of our travel too. Stunning dunes and picturesque landscape.

Nasir al-Mulk Mosque, Iran
The Nasir al-Mulk Mosque, also known as the Pink Mosque, is a traditional mosque in Shiraz. It's called Pink Mosque due to the numerous pink tiles used for its interior design.
Vakil Bazaar, Iran
Vakil Bazaar is the main bazaar of Shiraz located in the historical center of the city. It has beautiful cortyards, caravansarais (old inns), old shops and even bath houses.
Sufi Traditional Restaurant, Iran
We tried some good traditional food and watched live traditional music at Sufi Restaurant.

Persepolis, Iran
Trip to Persepolis, an ancient capital of the kings of the Achaemenian dynasty of Iran. Visited the ruins of Achaemenid empire capital and palace complex. The ruins are a UNESCO World Heritage site.
