Arrived in Munich, the departing point of our Bavaria trip, South Germany.

Rented a car and headed away.

Probably the best known castle in Germany, it is almost all the time full with tourists. It can only be visited by guided tour. Must be booked in advance.

Ended the day in Ettal

Visited Ettal Abbey, Ettal Monastery.

Einstein's birthplace. Visited around, climbed up the tallest church spire in the world.

Visited the city center, with 11th-century St. Mary's cathedral and the Fuggerei, a 16th-century social housing complex still in use today, but it can also be visited.
