Tinos Island
Day 1
Tinos, Greece
We decided to pay a visit to Tinos Island after the recommendation of a good friend living in Athens. Part of the Cyclades group, the island is not as popular as nearby Mykonos, but it's definitely very beautiful.
Panormos, Greece
Our first stop on the island after we arrived and rented a car was in the Pyrgos village. It has the reputation of being the prettiest village in Tinos. Whitewashed walls, colorful doors, beautiful flowers make the perfect combination, it's the very Greek air of a village.
Volax, Greece
We slowly moved to Volax village situated on a hillside. Like Pyrgos, it has all the ingredients of a gorgeous Greek village.
Aetofolia, Greece
Then moved to Aetofolia village, also a nice village. After we visited a while we stopped to eat at a fantastic restaurant in the village.
Kounaria, Greece
We stayed for hours at Kounaria restaurant. We really enjoyed talking and drinking with locals there.
Tinos, Greece
Late afternoon we went down to beautiful Panormos bay, with its lovely colourful cafe and fishing boats.
Day 2

We continued our tour of the island on the second day.
Isternia, Greece
Isternia is called “village of artists”. We explored the village with its labyrith of stairways and its beautiful marble church.
Kardiani, Greece
Then moved to Kardiani, the traditional hillside village with communal laundry washing areas and perfect sea views.
Xinara, Greece
We then moved towards Xinara, where we parked and started any easy hike from there.
Exomvourgo, Greece
We hiked to Mount Exomvourgo. Along the way, we admired the specific pigeon houses, remembering of the Venetian period. From the top of Mount Exomvourgo there's a all the way around view with the island’s beautiful landscapes, terraced hills and blue ports.
Marathia, Greece
We then moved towards the beach of Agios Fokas in Tinos, but first we stopped to eat at Marathia, where we had some perfect fish.
