Turin, Italy

Turin is an elegant Italian city with cosmopolitan air and beautiful architecture on a scenic landscape, with the mountains on the background. It's known for being home of some great brands, like Fiat, Lavazza coffee and Ferrero chocolate.

Piazza Castello, Italy

Piazza Castello is an important square of the city surrounded by historical monuments. The square is a popular place both for tourists and locals, especially in the summer when there are refreshing water jets in the middle of the square where you can cool off.

Royal Palace of Turin, Italy

In Piazza Castello, we visited the beautiful Royal Palace of Turin. It was built in 1646 and it served as a royal residence for over 200 years. Today, it's possible to visit some sections of the palace, like the king’s apartments, the royal library or the royal gardens.

Madama Palace, Italy

Also in Piazza Castello, there's Palazzo Madama. It was at the beggining a medieval castle, then transformed in a palace with a baroque façade. Inside Madama Palace, we visited Turin City Museum of Ancient Art with a nice collection of ceramics, scultptures and drawings. We also climbed on top of the palace and admired a great view over the city.

Mole Antonelliana, Italy

On of the coolest museums I've seen is National Museum of Cinema located in the Mole Antonelliana. As Turin is the birthplace of Italian cinema, it's not a big surprise to find an incredible museum dedicated to scinema in the city. The cinema has a panoramic elevator with transparent walls that will takes visitors to the Mole platform where they get a 360° view of Turin.

Piazza San Carlo, Italy

Piazza San Carlo is an one of the main squares in Turin. It's an elegant pedestrian square with arcades, twin churches and equestrian statue in the middle.

Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist, Italy

The Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist is the main church of Turin. It has a historic bell tower and a chapel which is home to the famous Shroud of Turin.

Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile, Italy

The Automobile Museum was named by Times magazine as one of the 50 best museums in the world. It has a great collection of rare cars and vehicles.

Parco del Valentino, Italy

After visiting quite a lot of museums and historical building, we took a walk in the park. Parco del Valentino is a popular place for picnic or stroll in Turin. It's located right along the Po River.

Monte dei Cappuccini - Torino, Italy

For the perfect view of Turin, we headed to Monte dei Cappucini. Located on a hill across the Po River, the church has a great panoramic view over the city with Mole Antonelliana in the middle.

Piazza Vittorio Veneto, Italy

We got back in the city center and admired another beautiful square of the city, Piazza Vittorio Veneto and the beautiful views over the river from there.

Porto di Savona, Italy

We had dinner at Porto di Savona, in Piazza Vittorio Veneto. It offers typical Piedmontese cuisine and the prices are affordable.
