One Day Trip From Cluj, Romania

While I was in Cluj, the beautiful Romanian city, I took a trip to discover a beautiful area not far from the city.

First stop was at Turda Salt Mine, a huge saltmine that can be visited and it's worth going. It's actually ranked as one of the most beautiful and spectacular tourist attractions in the world.

When we had enough salty air in our lungs, we drove further to a good looking village in the heart of Transylvania, called Rimetea. It's a beautiful quiet village with white houses and green window shutters and a special landscape with Mount Secuiului guarding the village.

We hiked up there on Piatra Secuiului Peak to watch the village from above as well. It's a beautiful and peaceful spot.

We climed down in Coltesti Village and visited the ruins of Trascău Fortress in the village just as the sun gone down. It was the end of a rewarding day trip with nice places and lascapes.
