Arrived in Cologne, Germany in the evening. Spent the night there.

Rented a car and headed away.

First stop, Cochem. A beautiful town on the bank of the Moselle river with colourful buildings lining the riverfront and vineyards on the hillsides surrounding the town and an imposing castle sitting on a hill above the town. Spent the whole day here and also spent the night.

Moved on. Next stop: Burg Elz Castle.

Wurzburg, Germany

Würzburg is located in a beautiful landscape, on the banks of the River Main and surrounded by hills. Visited the city and Marienberg Fortress.

Well preserved medieval town, beautiful. Spent the night here.

Day 4

Rothenburg upon Tauber, Germany

We spent the day walking the city walls and gates of beautiful Rothenburg upon Tauber. Spend another night here.
