Split, Croatia

Split is a beautiful town on Croatia's Dalmatian coast. It's a big city, but you can easily explore the main attractions in a day.

Diocletian's Palace, Croatia

We started our tour around Split with its most important landmark, the Ancient Roman Palace, Diocletian’s Palace. The huge fortified palace was built for Emperor Diocletian’s retirement in 4th century AD.

Old Town Hall, Croatia

We continued our tour with a walk in the old town, along the beautiful narrow streets and really nice squares like Old Town Hall, Fruit Square, and Pjaca, known as the People’s Square.

Saint Domnius Cathedral, Croatia

We arrived at Cathedral of Saint Domnius, the beautiful cathedral built in 305 AD with a Romanesque bell tower. We climbed in the tower and had a spectaculat view over the city.

Diocletian's Palace - cellars, Croatia

We visited Podrum Underground Market. It's an underground market where you can buy souvenirs and admire the beautiful ancient underground cellars.

Bacvice Beach, Croatia

We decided it was time for a beach break. We headed to Bačvice Beach, which is the most popular beach in the town.

Viewpoint to Marjan, Croatia

After we cooled off a bit, we went to visit Marjan Hill, a beautiful green area above the ciry, with wonderful panoramic views over the city and the surroundings.

Adriatic Beach Bar, Croatia

We then went back on the coast, to Jadran beach, we enjoyed another swim and then waited for the sunset. The place is known as one of the best options in town to witness a beautiful sunset.
