Glasgow, United Kingdom

Glasgow is Scotland's biggest city. It's a welcoming city with beautiful architecture, some fine neighbourhoods and great food and drinks.

Glasgow Botanic Gardens, United Kingdom

Our first stop in Glasgow city was at Glasgow Botanic Gardens. The Gardens are actually a landmark of the city. We focussed around the Victorian glasshouse housing a lot of exotic plants.

University of Glasgow, United Kingdom

We then moved towards the University of Glasgow, one of the top attractions of the city. The university is 550 years old and the huge campus complex has some stunning acrchitecture buildings. There are also galleries, a museum and nice cafes.

Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, United Kingdom

Then we headed to Kelvingrove Art Gallery, not far from the university. It's free to visit the museums and it displays an important collection of Scottish and international art.

Buchanan Street Bus Station, United Kingdom

We arrived in the center of the city and took a walk along vibrant Buchanan Street. The area is full of street performers and also of cafes and restaurants. We ate at this a great steakhouse, Miller & Carter.

Glasgow Necropolis, United Kingdom

Then we paid a visit to Necropolis, a large beautiful Victorian cemetery. It's also called "the city of the dead". There's also a nice cityscape from the top of the cemetery.

Glasgow Cathedral, United Kingdom

After the cemetery, it was time to pay a visit at the Cathedral. Glasgow Cathedral is a beautiful medieval church with post war stained glass windows.

The Horseshoe Bar, United Kingdom

In the evening we had a drink at The Horseshoe Bar, one of the oldest pubs in the city, with the longest bar in the country.
