Beautiful Croatian Island of Krk
Day 1
Krk, Croatia
Krk is a large Croatian island located in the northern Adriatic Sea. It's connected to mainland by a bridge, so it's pretty easy to drive there. We loved the island, with its beautiful villages, beaches and coastline.
Krk, Croatia
We arrived and settled in the main settlement of the island, also called Krk.
Kamplin Square, Croatia
We visited the beautiful old town of Krk town and got lost on its lovely lovely narrow streets with beautiful houses and fine cafes, restaurants and shops.
Frankopan Castle, Croatia
We visited Frankopan Castle, in Krk town, the fortress that used to guard the old town from pirates. Inside is a small museum where we learnt a bit about the place's history. From the top of the tower there are amazing views over the town and the sea.
Citta Vecchia, Croatia
We sat at the terrace of Citta Vecchia, where we had some great grilled seafood. Apart from the good food, the place is really lovely with a fine garden at the shadow of the trees.
Koralj beach, Croatia
We spent the rest of the day at Koralj Beach, relaxing in the beautiful landscape.

We spent the night in Krk town.
Day 2

Today we explored the rest of the island as well.
Baška, Croatia
After a drive on the narrow and steep roads of the coastline, we arrived at Baška, a nice fishing village at the far end of the island of Krk. We visited the beautiful old town for a while.
Baska Beach, Croatia
The best part about Baska village are the beaches. We stayed at Beaska Beach, a long thin pebble beach surrounded by beautiful cliffs.
Vela Luka, Croatia
From there we took a 20 minute boat ride to Vela Luka, this remote gorgeous beach only accesible from the water or if you hike there. It has beautiful crystal clear waters and a wonderful surroundings. There are some other small wild beaches like this in the area, as well.
Poper, Croatia
When we returned in the village in Baska, we had dinner at Poper, a lovely terrace by the water.

We spent the night in Baska village.
Day 3
Baška, Croatia
We had breakfast in Baska, took a few more steps on the lovely streets of Baska and by the water, then jumped in the car and moved away.
Vrbnik, Croatia
We headed to Vrbnik, a beautiful village perched on a coast hill, above the sea, surrounded by vineyards. We visited the old town a bit before checking the beaches around.
Silent Beach, Croatia
We went to Silent Beach, a beautiful hidden beach, wonderfully quiet. We relaxed there for a couple of hours.
Vrbnik, Croatia
We got back in Vrbnik, took the car and moved further.
Biserujka, Croatia
Before we left the island, we visited Biserujka Cave, a nice subterranean cave with stalactites and stalagmites. There is also hall where concerts are occasionally held.
