Known for the famous Juliet's Balcony, from Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, Verona has much more to offer other than that.

Cattedrale di Santa Maria Matricolare, Italy

Verona Cathedral or Cattedrale di Santa Maria Matricolare is an impressive Romanesque cathedral with a striped façade, notable for its beautiful interior frescoes and well preserved artwork by Titian.

Basilica di Santa Anastasia, Italy

Basilica di Santa Anastasia is a large beautiful church from 13th century featuring a famous Gothic fresco by Pisanello, "St. George and the Princess".

Scaliger Tombs, Italy

Scaliger Tombs is a burial site for Scaligeri family, the ruling family of Verona. The site displays five great Gothic monuments.

Piazza dei Signori, Italy

Piazza Dei Signori was the main public square and a major gathering place of Verona during Scaglieri family rule. It's a very beautiful square even today.

Piazza delle Erbe, Italy

Piazza delle Erbe is another historic square. It's one of the most vibrant squares of the city. It serves as Verona’s Market Square and it's surrounded by nice bars and cafes.

Juliet's House, Italy

Of course we went to see Juliet’s House with the famous Juliet’s Balcony, located in a small courtyard. It;s a beautiful spot, no doubt about that.

Verona Arena, Italy

Verona Arena is a stunning well preserved Roman amphitheater located on a large square in Verona.

Castelvecchio Bridge, Italy

Another landmark of Verona is CastelVecchio Bridge, part of castle complex. It's a spectacular bridge across the Adige River reeminding of a different era.

Ristorante Maffei, Italy

We ended the day with a delicious dinner at Ristorante Maffei in the city center.
