Amazing Hallstatt

Hallstatt is that small town in Austria that you see on Instagram posts. It's a very picturesque place located on the shore of Hallstätter Lake, surrounded by mountains. We were in Hallstatt for one day and, boy, the place is really beautiful.

The first spot we checked in Hallstatt was Hallstatt Skywalk. Oh, boy! It's a World Heritage View Point. I did not even think that view points could be listed as world heritage sites. Oh, well... It's a stunning view you have from there over the lake, the mountains and the cute buildings of Hallstatt. You can get here either on foot or by cable car.

After we had enough of that spectacular view from the platform above Hallstatt, we went to visit a salt mine. We really like it, it's quite an impressive salt mine.

After the salt mine, we walked towards the old center, on beautiful streets with nice houses towards Marktplatz Hallstatt, the main square in the town with cute colourful houses.

We had some good kebaps from Karmez Kabap Cart, on the main streets.

We continued our walk along the lake and arrived at the most famous spot in the city, the place where the pics on Instagram are taken. Aussichtspunkt Hallstatt will amaze you with the views over the city.

We paid a visit to this nice church above the town. Near the church, there's a cemetery with nice views over the lake. It's a quiet beautiful place.

We ended our day in Hallstatt at with a dinner at Bräugasthof. We had delicious schnitzel and tried Hallstatt beer. It was very good.
