One Day in Stockholm
Day 1
Stockholm, Sweden
I had one day to explore the Scandinavian capital of Stockholm. At the end of the day, ,my feet were not very happy, but it was a great, spectacular day.
Gröna Lund, Sweden
I started at Grona Lund, the amusement park in Stockholm because I have heard pretty much about it and I was curious. Actually I was not there especially for the fun, but for the the view you have from there. :)
Stortorget, Sweden
Stortorget Square is an important square in Stockholm, part of Gamla Stan district. It used to be a square of fairs and festivals, now is a cute square with a vintage vibe.
Gamla stan, Sweden
The Old Town of Stockholm, called Gamla Stan, located on a few several islands in the middle of the town, has a medieval vibe, with its cobbled streets and colourful 17th and 18th century buildings. There are also chique bistros, old school pubs and cool spaces.
The Royal Palace, Sweden
We paid a short visit to The Royal Palace, a beautiful Renaissance style building. The palace serves as the current residence of the royal residence of Sweden.
Kungsträdgården, Sweden
While in Stockholm, use their metro. The stations are real work of art, where a hundred artists decorated the space beautifully.
Millesgården, Sweden
Open air museum located in a green park, with beautiful sculptures and art gallery. You can feel a great vibe surrounding the place.
Djurgården, Sweden
The lawns on Djurgarden Island once belonged to the royal court. Now, the space is a great spot for a relaxating activities. Locals use it for picnics and other open air activities.
Kungsträdgården, Sweden
Kungstradgarden Park is a nice central park used also for concerts, events, art galleries, restaurants and cafes.
Fotografiska, Sweden
We really liked the photography museum. It's located on a brick-built building that served as the former customs house. It hosts exhibitions of renowned artists such as Henri Cartier-Bresson or Anna Leibovitz, but also of modern photographers.
